Search for an "install.wim" file in the "sources" directory in your ISO file. Is there one file ?

I unpacked each box, but Install.wim file I found there.
Make no mistake when creating a folder? This error writes to the file Install.wim?

hi winterstorm, i think i found a bug in winreducer!!

last week i assembled a brand new desktop pc and when i tried to install windows8 winreduced, the installation progress was very slow, it took 30minutes. While on my other pc usually it took 15 minutes. I tried everything with no luck, but today i tried to restore the original win8 boot.wim file in the winreduced iso and all went well! So maybe there is a problem in boot.wim component redurec? what do you think?

hi winter! yes i think you are right, that maybe the problem.
Yesterday i installed a version with winsxs compression checked and orginal boot.wim but the installation took too long, so it isn't a boot.wim problem.
Today i'm cooking a new image without compression and will see what happens!
i will post my result tonight!

ok, i tried to install without winsxs compression activated and the installation was fast like before!
do you think it's a bug of winsxs compression???

It can be a complete copy WPI created the temp folder before creating the ISO file, however, is much better option starts of with the installation of Windows 8...

Hi Winter.
Changing the mount path doesnt appear to work correctly as it still creates a temp directory in the winreducer directory. Im not sure if you have fixed this or if its been reported already...

Also, in the window displaying the cleaning progress, Im not too keen on the white text in a red box. Too 70's Very Happy

Maybe just a larger size text in white.. ..

No this has not been reviewed, I will have a look on this before v0.39.4.99.4, thanks .. EDIT : I missed this one so it has been resolved in the upcoming build tonight ...

Hey, do not search the install.wim file, winreducer find it automatically for you.

The simple way is to check "Extract an ISO" and hit "Open" Button to choose your Windows 8 ISO file... Everything is done for you ... Wink

But you are using an downloaded upgrade ISO without "install.wim" file, there is instead an "install.esd" file. And for the moment it's not supported by winreducer8... Sorry ...

i was having the same problem until i uncompress my originalISO to desktop using 7zip to a folder name win8

now Winreducer will open that folder for sure ! (this was a battle for me too a few days ago)

I've tried .net and it works with iso created by v0.39.4.99.4 (latest build). Maybe you're using a system customized by an old build like v0.39.x, if so that's a known bug (!). So I'm trying to resolve it in the v0.39.4.99.x builds. Just try to create a new iso with these lastest builds, then install it in a virtualization software, and try your command line, let me know, thanks !
