EX-100 WCCF (For all usage)

Hello guys,

I've opened this new thread with new updated wccf : you can tweak or modify them as you wish to create your own WinReduced Operating System

This thread is to discuss about all wccf I release in the website :
- "Desktop"
- "Desktop (Security)"
- "Desktop (Security+Edge+Store)"

Hello Winter. IS there any plan for the release date of the rest of the wccf; i am very interested for the laptop(normal) profile.

Why don't you add a Protect Security which will do the same as Desktop.wccf to Desktop(security).wccf

Protect Security can be better renamed to "Protect MS Windows Security"

winter is it difficult to say what changes are needed in desktop profile to support wireless. I already made 3-4 tries but nothing(etc i did not remove wwan support and and other components)

But as this list is old I need to review what is needed with all new components available in EX-100.

I tried by deselecting all this components but no luck. I am currently testing with deselecting everything in the drivers section. I will post my results when i am done.

it would be most helpful if you can post the necessary components in network and services that are needed for wifi. if its difficult its alright

"wlan autoconfig service" needed for wifi

i already tried with wlan autoconfig deselected but no luck.

Have you tried with :
- "Remove - Control Panels - View Available Networks"
- "Remove - Control Panels - View Available Networks (Files)"
- "Remove - Drivers - Network - Wireless" = Choose your driver according to your hardware
- "Remove - Drivers - Network - Wireless - Virtual"
- "Services - Network Connected Devices Auto-Setup Service"

Hi unless I did not check right - "Remove - Drivers - Network - Wireless - Virtual" is not in the .wccf

i tried but no luck. also as jpm said

is not an option in winreducer

This list is taken from the post link I gave you few posts before ... This is why I need to check all needed components (and there are surely more to add)

This week-end I will release a wccf update for "Dekstop" and "Dekstop (Security)" and there will be a new "Dekstop" variant

As planned in the "Schedule for 2018", I will release also this week-end a new "Extreme" wccf ... this one will be for testing purpose in a virtual machine !

Then, I will release next week, a first "Laptop" wccf ... which will need to be tested

Hello guys. After two days of tests I found out that in the above wccf drivers - network -wireless -Atheros is braking wifi. winter this happens for me even if  I only remove this one component.

Maybe because you have an atheros wifi chipset in your laptop ?

it was the first thing I thought but I have a Realtek wifi card. strange.

Thanks for the information, I will have a look at this next week, and I will let you know

ok winter. but its not important. i just leave atheros unchecked and everything works. it will
just be confusing if it breaks other cards.

I'm working on several drivers troubles and I also fixed several troubles in this categories ... the fixes will be integrated in the next build v2.0.9.1 [VIP] and v2.0.1.0 [ALL] ... maybe you will have some time to try it.

Of course this explains why the "Laptop" wccf has not been released this week-end ... it should be available next week-end
