i found 2 lists where it is shown what Keyboard layout is which language

and which nls file is for which language

i will make a list which files are still present after using winreducer when i get home from work.


it would be nice if they would be deleted from install.wim and boot.wim.

i can already say ist save to remove them, because i remove them each time with my Batch files.

for the Moment here is a list i could create, but 46 Keyboard layouts i couldnt find. i will search again when i get home.

sometime i wrote "Language / Language" because i found the same language but 2 different discriptions, and sometime a layout belongs to more languages

are this discriptions also shown for the "C_xxxx.nls" files?

haha xD thats the best "trick" i have seen for so Long xD

i can sort -> Description and remove a lot of stuff i.e. Natual Language etc xD

Glad to help lol! 

This 'trick' can possibly be used to identify files throughout the Windows folder.
Thanks for your help with identifying the sizes of components.

Edit:  Oops, just realised that the lists I posted were from a Windows 8.1 x64 pro edition, so they may not link directly to the Windows 7 files (be interesting to check that)

will winreducer also remove the registry strings from there?

but after removing them there are still all languages available at Control Panel -> Region and Language, anyone knows how to remove them?

and while im asking, when i select a driver, font etc is it also deleted from boot.wim

Yes, they are deleted but only if you select "Optimizations - ISO - Boot - Clean Boot Wim", and according to which keyboards you select to remove, of course ! Wink
