In WindowsXp the are posible to create and edit one user profile (backgrounds, themes, file options, etc.) after completing user enviroment for that user there are posible to copy that profile into Default profile. So, every new user who login to that computer have previous edited profile.
In windows 8.1 that option is not possible (selecting edited profile and 'Copy to..' - is grayed).

Can it be done with Windows Reducer?
Let create user profile and then pack it into *.iso with Winreducer and every new installation have Default Profile as is created early.

Thanx in advance

hi

im not sure if thats possible in winreducer 8.1 (because i cant find it in winreducer 7), but i think thats a great idea to add it in winreducer.

normally the default user is here:

C:\Users\Default

so i think it should be possible to do that.

i have got here a "tutorial" but its in german:

http://wiki.iserv.eu/wiki/Das_Default_User-Profil_von_Windows_anpassen

so it looks like you need to create a new user and log in into that user (i.e. KrX)
now you should do you customization.
after that log off and log in into an user with admin rights (you should enable the option to see hidden files)
go to C:\Users and copy everything from KrX to the Default folder

thats it.

what the tutorial didnt say is that if you have downloaded a custom theme or wallpaper, you need to put it into the mounted iso too.
i.e. C:\Windows\Resources\XXXXX and C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

EDIT:

no i see it is possible with winreducer too.

WinRedicer -> Appearance -> Theme Support

there you can select wallpaper, cursor, theme etc

Damir

Will this do what you want?

Customize the Default User Profile by Using CopyProfile

Here is another way - perhaps a bit easier to script??
