hi, did you try RC9 ?

if it still happens, could you say what exactly isnt working anymore?
because if it still happens i could try to get a look on it

Still have the problem with RC9, but now libraries doesn't show the folders included, before RC9 build, the Libraries didn't even open with indexing service removed, now i can open the libraries but no content appear. I discovered this bug removing Windows Search, with automatic removing process enabled, and it removes the indexing service, so i tested and it was indexing service, i don't know why this is happening. And i don't know if is the same problem but sometimes depending of what i remove, i cant install nvidia drivers.

ok i tried it and i saw what you mean, but just to make clear for me and others:

normally, when you add a folder to i.e. the Document Library. when you click on the Document Library Folder, you get listed all folders that you added.

when you remove indexing:

Control Panel - Indexing Options
Control Panel - Indexing Options (Files)
Windows Indexing Service

and you add a folder to the Document library, and you click on Document Library you dont get listed all added folders (but you can see them on the left tree)

so i will now try to found whats causing it

ok i removed all files manually that winreducer removes, but it is still working.

@winterstorm

are there some "special" registry entries that winreducer removes?

The bug remains in the latest versions

hi metaleiroll.

i tried it with winreducer v. 3.2.3

1. removed all components winreducer offers step by step till i removed everything (the indexing copmponents too) and i didnt get the problem anymore

2. i removed all components winreducer offers as one step (with an wccf file) and the problem also didnt happen anymore

so i right clicked an folder with images and selected to add them to the image library, and everything worked well

so this problem was caused by

Explorer - Remove Libraries from Navigation Pane

which is solved, and the fixed tweak will be integrated in the next build which winter will release.

or it was solved since version 3.16+

EDIT:

should be definitely solved by version 3.2.4

I tested the last version and the bug isnt solved, the only way i found was to deactivate windows search insted of removing it. And also wallpapers break if you remove indexing service, and you cant select more than 1 wallpaper, if you select various pictures and try to define as wallpapers it doesnt work.

hey, the problem with the wallpaper should be this bug:

https://forum.winreducer.net/t1196-removing-indexing-service-breaks-wallpaper-selection

i couldnt solve it to 100% but when i get more time i will try it again, but as i remember i tried it and it didnt happen for me anymore (but like i said i will try it soon again)
