Hi guys,

Sorry, but I'm a newbee here.

I have a Windows 7 ISO from 2009 and I wanted to slipstream as many updates as I can.

For starters, the question is how do we integrate Windows 7 SP1?

As for the rest, all the updates with MSU files are integrated with no problem, but the updates with EXE ou MSI files don't get installed.
How do we integrate these updates?

Some examples:
- windows6.1-KB976932-X64 (Windows 7 SP1)
Windows-KB890830-x64-V5.14.exe
- IE11-Windows6.1-x64-pt-pt.exe
- msxml4-KB954430-enu.exe

  • I have extracted the contents of this file and I get a msxml.msi file which is not installed

Visual C++ 2005 SP1 redist_x64 (KB2538242).exe

  • The same as the previous.

Can someone provide some help, please?

TOPIC MOVED TO "WINREDUCER 7.0 HELP" FORUM !

Hello and welcome,  Very Happy

All *.msu and *.cab can be integrated using WinReducer Updates tool, but all others (*.exe, *.msi, ...) need to be installed during windows installation using WinReducer Post Installation tools (OEM or OOBE method).

Best Regards

Thanks Winter. I've tryed with OOBE and it "almost" solved the problem.

Now the question is about silent install.

Need to auto-run comands in "winreducerPI.cmd" with administration priveligies.

Any suggestions?

You are welcome !  Very Happy

Yes, I'm aware about that trouble, but you could try to use the "runas" command before lines in the "winreducerPI.cmd" :

runas.exe /user:REQUIREDUSERNAME /savecred c:\PATH\TO\APP.exe

1) You could run as admin using the above replacing 'REQUIREDUSERNAME' with admin account name
2) "/savecred" will make it ask for admin password on the first run only
