[ANSWERED] Metro Apps opens then closes

When clicking on the tile of a Modern app will begin to launch the application but the app simply returns the user to the start screen. The Event Log gives the error: 

Activation of app windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy!microsoft.windows.immersivecontrolpanel failed with error: This app does not support the contract specified or is not installed. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

Google leads me to this Micrsoft support article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2798317.

But what I want to know is what was removed that caused this error in the first place?

Is it possible to remove Work Folders and the Windows Firewall and still have PC Settings work?

Yes, you could remove them, but take care : removing "Work Folders" will cause trouble if you want to use online account. If you want to use such type of account, it should be better to use "Presets - Protect Online account".
For "Windows Firewall", don't forget to read the help tips.
