[SOLVED] [EX-100 2.3.7.0 - Windows 19041.330 64bit] Application launch from search and screen setup are broken

Hi @winterstorm2020, search is working fine but apps won't launch from there.. i.e. I type "winver" and press enter, usually it launches winver, or "control panel" and press enter and it launches the control panel, but now it's like it doesn't really find the link to launch. I see the result from the search but cannot launch it..

Also, if i right click on desktop and select screen setup, it opens the settings and immediately closes it.

I have encountered a situation where the desktop right-click display settings cannot be used normally.
The following settings in wccf will return to normal.
Remove - Accessories" Name="Display Brightness" Selected="false"
Remove - Accessories" Name="Display Switch" Selected="false"
I think there may be only Display Brightness, there are not many experiments.

Found something!

Remove - Network" Name= OneDrive (Files On-Demand)

Is causing display settings from desktop to crash. I am investigating about app start from seasrch (winver, diskmgmt.msc, etc.)

And I found the other winner

So:

- Remove - Network Name= OneDrive (Files On-Demand) is causing display settings from desktop to crash
- Remove - Modern UI Apps Name= Cortana breaks some app launch from start like winver, diskmgmt.msc etc.

Hope you find a fix for this @winterstorm2050!

Same applies to 20H2 Also on 20H2 net framework installation from windows (additional features) is broken, while on 20H1 it works fine.

@winterstorm2050 judging from the changelog these 2 bugs have not been fixed, that's sad I will skip this version and wait for the next one hoping to have the bugs fixed

And I can confirm that 20H2 official support will be available with v2.4.2.0 [ALL] on Wednesday 04 November 2020 ... with an improved removing engine in order to solve the 20H2 cleanup bug you mentioned

Thanks for the update! I tried the latest verdion but Edge icon is not removed from desktop even though I removed Edge.. Hope to see all these bugs fixed soon

Thanks for the report, I confirm this bug, and it will be solved in the next build ... the reason is that I always use the option to hide the desktop icons

- "Modern UI Apps - Microsoft Edge" ==> desktop shortcut leftover
- "Network - OneDrive (Files On-Demand)" ==> "Settings - Display" desktop right click shortcut
