[SOLVED][EX-100 - v2.3.2.0] [2004 build 19041.264] ModernUI apps don't work

So, with the new ISOs and my wccf, all ModernUI apps straight up don't work. No error message, they just don't open. This includes notifcations, the start menu, alt+tab, settings, windows store, etc.

Having a glance with ProcessMonitor, this seems to be related to "Shell Experience Host".

The very same wccf works perfectly fine with the 1909 18363.836 (and older) build.

Maybe this is related to "- "Modern UI - Windows Shell Experience Host" : Start Menu didn't work (confirmed for 10041, 10074)"?

Further testing reveals that a slightly older version of 20H1, 19041.1.191206, works fine. So possibly some update that breaks stuff?

E: Even further testing reveals that VMs work fine, but on an actual machine, ModernUI apps do work, they just take a long time to actually open for the first time.

So, system starts up, everything but the modernUI stuff works right away. When I want to open anything modernUI, nothing seems to happen. THis applies to settings, alt tab, the volume thing, windows store, etc. After a while (10+ minutes), these apps suddenly pop open and work just fine. Again, this is not a problem in a VM (VirtualBox). Very strange and obviously somewhat annoying.

I will investigate this issue, but I didn't experience a start menu trouble even with 19041.264, at least for the moment ! and I confirm in a VMware Player VM there are no troubles.

So, I will let you know as fast as possible.

I just created a Winreduced ISO with this Preset [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and i have the same problem, that Modern-UI Apps dont work, so no start menu, no settings, no edge. But somehow they start working after like 10 Minutes, i try to figure out, what is causing that, i suspect its a new Windows Service, that either starts delayed or tries to start all the time, and stops after a certain time, which prevents the normal Moder-UI Apps to work as intended.

I tried to reproduce the issue ... but it worked correctly each time I tried ... I simply noticed a lag when I tried to open the start menu, maybe this is related, but I didn't found the faulty component.

There is a new bug report about such issue ... so if possible, could you please try without removing the 2 components mentioned in this thread :

PS : I'm waiting the first W10 20H1 Cumulative Update to check what was fixed.

Ok, yes. I found out for myself, that this was the problem indeed. It seems like it causes Moders-UI Apps to freeze and hang up for about 10 minutes and then magically they start to work.
