WinReducer 8.1 GUI screenshots

Hi guys,

As promised, here are some screenshots of the new WinReducer 8.1 GUI design :

* CONFIGURATION
More simpler 1st time configuration

* ERROR LOG
A new error log has been added helping you identify troubles

* MOUNT
Use DISM so no need to use ImageX (needs more test to be available)

* LANGUAGE
Translate almost everything in the new GUI

* THEME
You could change backgrounds, icons, font, checkbox pictures,... You could choose to apply fade in (during startup) and fade out (during exit) the WinReducer window

* UPDATE
WinReducer 8.1 detects new updates and informs you with a discrete icon in the launcher

In my opinion, the Aurora background you've applied to the UI doesn't look good. I love how you've applied a flat interface to the launcher icons, but don't you think it would look a little bit prettier if the flat interface is globalized all around the app? Like with the Modern UI version of the Control Panel in Windows 8 . Just my opinion.

You're doing a great job, man. I've being using Windows 7 for three years now, and I think it is time for me to move on to Windows 8.1. I think Microsoft has really done it well this time. I've been quite silent in WinReducer 8, but I'll be much more active in WinRedcuer 8.1!  Like in the RT7-Booster times!

Nice work on the interface, I like the font and buttons. However I agree with billybully, the Aurora is not very appropriated for this. I can't really recommend any though

Well I was actually thinking of no wallpaper, just a single color background. Apart from being a flat design. it wouldn't be obtrusive or bloater to the UI.

And even that one gets to be somewhat of a obtrusive background for me xd.

Don't worry guys, I'm really happy to have your opinion about this new GUI, and the theme is an alpha so it could be improve, maybe you could submit me some better background to use ?

Easy why not make it so the End User as the Option to Add his/Her Own Background in settings ?

Or have that ability to the VIP Version ?

I Love to be able to add my Own background if i was honest.

But I do have to sort of agree also with  billybully, as I also like the sound of his Idea a Non bloaterware Is always a Great way to go.

And I do like the Windows 8 OS feel.

WR8.1 will support themes, so it means you could create your own theme (with backgrounds, checkboxes, font, color font, icons,...), so you could change almost everything to adapt WR8.1 with a better personal looking and I hope propose some wonderful themes for it ...

Yes I totally understand, & I don't blame you for not spending more time on the 8 version..
Since we will soon have 8.1  no point in adding features to the 8 version.

BUT I do like to ask a Question about the 8.1 Version..

As we all Know the 8.1 will come down in updates (Windows Updates)
Now Like you mention the other day in another post of mine, You don't think it'll be Via an ISO version.

So for us people with a Windows 8 OS Disk How would we go about using WinReducer 8.1 with Windows 8 ?
Would we have to download the 8.1 Updates Via the WUD Application & add them to a folder..

Is what I'm asking is Will the Winreducer 8.1 Still work with a Genuine Windows 8 Disk Or Do we Need to Some how Get Hold of an ISO with 8.1 already Integrated

I just don't know exactly for the moment how MS will distribute Windows 8.1, I'm just waiting, like everyone here, for new official informations about that ...

Guys, I've reworked the new theme GUI based on your ideas ...   and below, this is I think a much better choice with a better readability with an improved look :

- New black background picture
- New "Ubuntu Light" Font

Hope you will like it ...

Dude Your the Bomb man..  This is a Bad Ass Look & Feel.. I Love the Dark Backdrop & I think I remember mentioning this before. So Thank you for doing this..
The Font is Clean & Easy to read Much better & i love the Switches to..

I'm working on different themes at the same time, maybe 4 or 5 when WinReducer 8.1 will be released ... I only show you the WinReducer 8.1 Default theme, which will be provided with WinReducer 8.1 in the zip package ...

Hi Mate..

OK That sounds great News a Few Themes to Pick from.. I like that.

So you mention & say that this will be the Default theme, which will be provided with WinReducer 8.1 in the zip package

So do the other themes come as Addons or For the VIP's or to Buy. ?

As I understand your Comment, it makes me think you will provide one theme with the App ONLY! or have I misunderstood & all themes will be packaged into the Product ?

WinReducer 8.1 will be provided with one default theme (the one I show you in this thread , which is improve by members ideas  ), and other themes will be available in the forum ... I hope that some people will try to create their own themes and distribute them in the forum ...

Every resources (WinReducer or themes ...) will be available for free for everyone ... All VIP members will have a special gift in October ...

I Understand the reasoning & plus keeping the Tool with Just one theme helps keep the file size down to.

Plus having them on the forum will hopefully bring more people on-to the forum & take part in what go's on here..

And to also let us Design our own themes is a Sure PLUS & Thank you.. That's a Great Idea Man

Dark Side Sounds Like it'll be a Cool theme & the Default is also a Really Cool Theme. Aurora If it's anything like the old one. Nah, It's not for me lol

Your comment holds a lot of fact & truth & This is one of the reason we will be given the tools & chance to make our own Themes
Maybe you can design one more to your liking

In Launcher and Launcher Panels Activated, how about adding text to the buttons so we know what they are supposed to do?  Or at least popup text.

I have Win 8.1 now, but the current win8reducer (0.99) does not accept it as input source.  

How long before 8.1 reducer becomes available?

Just gotta get rid of that f'n metro interface.  Worst UI design ever (at least for non touch screens).

I agree with the guy on top. Themes aren't that relevant, not for me at least. Also, I agree with the guy that said that you should add text to the buttons so we know what they are supposed to do, haha. Consider adding it like the Modern UI tiles  (text on the bottom right corner), but for this you would have to make the buttons bigger. I guess popups should do enough .

 You Mean Like Hover Tool Tips ?

Giving the End User A brief Description on what the button would do if you was to enable or Disable it ?

If this is what you mean.. I totally agree, And have mentioned it prior to today also, As Hover tips over Buttons Or Click for more Info & Help Description.

This would also help many new members That I think will come along & join once the Tool is released

@CodeMe Yes, I'm talking about hover tool tips or adding a name to the buttons. It would help everyone.
