When I integrate the updates from the last WinReducer Updates Catalog for EX-100 : 23 April 2019 I get the following error during installation in a VM:

It says: "The settings for the unattended installation could not be applied during the run." I get it with both, 17763.134 and 17763.1. I don't get it, when I use the same wccf without update integration. Here is my wccf: click

I made a run before the last catalog update and it worked. So it's possible, that one of the new updates causes the trouble. But I'm not sure, because it was only one run and I don't remember all circumstances.

The same issue with WinReducer EX-100 - v2.1.6.0 and the update catalog from 6.5.2019.

I deleted the AutoUnattended.xml from the ISO. After that the error message is the following:

It says: "Installation cannot continue due to a corrupted installation file."

I changed nothing, except the new updates.

I just tested on a VMware Player virtual machine with the Hanyo's wccf .... it worked without troubles.

Here is how I done the test
- launch "EX-100"
- go to the "Updates Downloader"
- use "Clean all uppdates" option in "Updates Downloader"
- download all RS6 updates
- extract an ISO : Windows 10 RS6 (17763.1) x64 Professional
- Open Hanyo's wccf
- Disable "Unattended" creation options
- Create the customized ISO
==> Once done, I use my VMware Player virtual machine dedicated to the tests to install the customized ISO ...it works as intended.

But, could you please tell me some additional information :

- For RS6 : which Virtual Machine Software are you using ... because with VMware Player you need to add some lines in the vmx file in order to get RS6 working (can not start Setup), here is the code :

Spoiler :

- For RS6 : Take care, for a testing purpose, to the Net Framework 3.5 sources, create an iso without integrating it ... then if it works try to create a new ISO with integrating it

- For RS5 : are you using AMD cpu ? Because you do not need to download or integrate the "Intel Microcode" update

I gave it a go with fresh updates and disabling the unattended option.

I also tried it without integrating .NET Framework 3.5.

Both options didn't work. The only thing that fixed it was not to integrate the updates.

I only tested with RS5-releases. I tried all three different x64 versions from this source with the same negativ result: https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php

I don't understand why you disabled the unattended option. Of course I havn't. It should also work with unattendet option, in the past it always did. I will start a test now with my wccf with disabled unattended options.

Deactivating unattended option also doesn't work. It's the same as in my test with the deleted AutoUnattended.xml (see 2. post above).

I personally tried it with the official ISO from MS called "de_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_1903_x64_dvd_02343d69.iso" (based on RS6 1903.18362.30), an ISO created by UUPdownloader, the ISO you linked, and also the old RS5 ISO. Same problem every time. Because it also happens with the RS5 ISO, I kinda doubt the new ISOs are to blame.

i never use VM or something comparable., intead i install it in realtime with Bootit

there are no problems installing and booting
WinReducer EX-100 - v2.1.7.0 has no problem
Updates and iso Win10_1809Oct_v2 have no problems
The problem should be within VM

kb4494441 is a cumulative update, so if Winreducer removes code, updates to that code are also removed
I installed the iso without internet connection and got 4 updates installed.
i Think VM is the problem.
For years i never used VM,instead i use Bootit Bare metal,so i advice you to use Yumi to put your isos onto an USB
With Bootit you can get up to 4 partitions booting and in an extended MBR up to 8 partitons

The question is ::
Is there is a bug in VM that causes VM to stop with an error
is some code missing so that VM stops with an error,
is some code missing so that there is an error when installing the iso with VM ?
Is there an error when installing the iso in real time ?
My Winreducer compilations with a cumulate update all boot without problems
All my drivers are updated with Driverbooster ,Windows Update only partly updates drivers

So how are you going to find out what is the problem ??
If You install the iso in real time You will at least know that the iso is installing and
if installed you can verify if updates are really installed..
that is a start to a solution

I try to integrate those updates the winreducer update catalog is downloading.

Meanwhile I integrate them "manually" using DISM, with RS4 as well as RS5. I didn't use Winreducer at all. Result: Both ISOs are not installable. It seems, that this is not a Winreducer problem.

But I can't believe that this is just a VM problem, because I never had a problem with my virtual box (always newest version). And I don't have an installation problem in the VM when I use an ISO without integrated updates, whatever I do with Winreducer. Unfortunately i don't have any pc left at the moment to test this quickly.

Edit: icy007 seems to be right. I installed VMware Workstation Player and installed successfully my "manually" updated RS4 and RS5 ISOs. Now I will create a new (because I havn't protected VMware support) winreduced ISO and test it in VMware Player.

I installed my winreduced ISO successfully in VMware. So it's proved that my trouble was caused by VirtualBox. This thread can be marked as "solved".
