So, my ISOs have always been about 2.2GB ish. Since 2.1.3.0 they are about 3.8GB. The removal process seems to be going as usual as far as I can tell frorm the progress bar, but it seems like nothing ends up being removed.

Here's my wccf.

Any help, any other people with this issue? It seems to be the case with 2.1.3.0 and 2.1.4.0 and wasn't an issue with 2.1.0.0.

anon a thing that has happened to me in the past is the following:
i use winreducer and i choose recovery option to produce an .esd file instead of a .wim file. The removing goes as planned but during the creation of the iso the esd is created as it should but the original wim is not erased. So you end up with an iso that is much bigger than it should. Check your iso in the sources folder if it contains only an esd, only a wim or both files

Hello guys Smile

@anon768 : I check your wccf, and you activated "Presets - Protect Windows Update". Since "EX-100 - v2.1.3.0", there are some changes to keep Windows Updates correctly working ... for the moment, it requires to keep almost all files in the winsxs folder... this is why your iso is not reduce as previously. Why this situation ? This is due to MS changes on how the cumulative updates integration works, so I adapted the removing engine in order to keep windows updates correctly working.

@victor123 : If I remember correctly I solved the issue (2 identical wim files in the same folder) you described few versions ago ... but about the recovery mode, in WinReducer, there are no esd file even after using the recovery compression mode ... because it uses it inside a wim file ... this is why there are no esd file Wink

I wish you to have a great day !

I know my friend. Everyone's experience or problems that he encountered could possibly help someone else and contribute to winreducer getting better.

Oh, alright, that makes sense. Could we expect for this change to be reverted back and/or ISOs getting smaller again?

And I assume the components still get removed, just the stuff in winsxs is kept?
