[SOLVED] EDITED WinReducer EX-100 1.9.21.0 W10 RS3 Pro 64 ISO creation bug

Since version 1.9.16.0 not is possible create a ISO file.
I has selected several components to remove and that work fine with previous Winreducer versions.
In removing process after 3 hours begin "ISO Creation" process and more of 10 hours writing and reading the disk and not had finished the process. Using a utility that display disk activity a huge pagefile usage was used during the process. I not want that long process to finish and had power off the computer.
After i had tried the current version 1.9.17 and not was possible create a ISO, but was another problem. In removing process after 3 hours begin "ISO Creation" process start a huge pagefile usage and after more of 1 hour Winreducer exit with not ISO created. In that process was writed more of 25 GB and read more of 30 GB pagefile.
Since that was updated 7-Zip and DISM not is possible create ISO.
Perhaps is 7-Zip allocating large page file and not having enough system memory making a huge pagefile usage that crash Winreducer ?
I sure that not is any setting in removing components. ISO file was selected Recovery compression. The problem is a huge memory allocation exactly when begin ISO File creation process.

Using Winreducer 64 bits version and all files are correct and updated.
When begin process ISO creation start a huge pagefile usage and is how if a moment not having enough memory or a a crash in ISO creation component resulting Winreducer close how if the ISO was created correctly because the ISO creator component was "completed".
System is a FX-6300 4 GB RAM pagefile min 2 max 4 GB without antivirus or others utilities in background enough disk size in Winreducer partition and in Temp folder. Using Windows 10 Pro RS3 PT-BR. Using ISO Compression Recovery and HIGH profile speed remove.
Not problem with any files. Perhaps is 7-Zip allocating large page file in memory or DISM new version.

Hello winterstorm2050. I thanks God for your reply and amazing Winreducer project.
The problem is since 7-Zip and DISM was updated.

The system used for Winreducer EX-100 is Windows 10 RS3 PT-BR without antivirus or other utility in background that may create problems.
I not has tried without ISO Recovery.
When creating ISO a huge write read is started in pagefile even with enough RAM free being 4 GB RAM and High profile in removing speed.
Today I will try to create a ISO without selecting any compression mode and post the results soon.

Using current version the ISO was created, but with problems.
The program finish when creating install.wim being that file is less of 1 KB. Not files was added in install.wim.
System is FX-6300, 4 GB RAM, Windows 10 RS3 64 bits, pagefile min 16 MB max 2048 GB, system partition of Temp folder is more of 27 GB and Winreducer disk 72 GB.
Nothing of antivirus or others softwares in background.
Perhaps is a memory allocation problem.
Next test is the same preset without using ISO compression.

Not selecting ISO compression the ISO is created correctly.

Is a long time to remove components and create ISO in current version. Perhaps is since 1.9.16.0.
Creating a ISO in current version is 8 hours and 1.9.15.0 is less of 6 hours. The speed is slow when removing components even selecting in both versions a High speed profile instead of Default.
CPU is FX-6300 4 GB RAM Windows 10 Pro 64 RS3.
If selecting Recovery Compression Winreducer finish not creting the ISO being a problem since that 7-Zip and DISM was updated.
Using a HDD monitoring utility is displayed that pagefile.sys access was more high than 50 GB (read and write) in a session using recovery compression. A huge HDD access being a problem.
Perhaps is trying allocate memory and not was allocated in enough time finishing the process of creation of ISO and thus Winreducer is finished not creating the ISO.
New version DISM allocate huge memory if compressing ?
If the problem is DISM not will be possible create ISO in 4 GB RAM.

@winterstorm2050 For me I not see need to another test using Winreducer 32 bits version, but if you think that need more another test using the x86 version just say here and i will try another test.

Using Windows 10 RS3 not integrated updates created with WinReducer EX-100 1.9.15 64.

Is being a long time to remove components. All components was removed in 6 hours using High Profile.
When begin ISO creation the system crash with message MEMORY MANAGEMENT.
The problem is the high memory allocation using extremely pagefile crashing the ISO process.
No way. Here not is possible use Winreducer current version.
Have something allocating much memory. 7 Zip is used when creating ISO ?

"Previous versions of 7-Zip could work incorrectly in "Large memory pages" mode in Windows 10 because of some BUG with "Large Pages" in Windows 10. Now 7-Zip doesn't use "Large Pages" on Windows 10 up to revision 1709 (16299)."
Here has 7-Zip version 18.05 is installed with enabled Large Memory Page. Perhaps is the root of problem ?

I has installed a Windows 10 RS3 not modified for test with just installed video and sound driver.
I will use Winreducer EX-100 current version with the same settings.
I will post the result.

There are few components which are hugely slow down the removing process :
- "Optimizations - EXPERT - Deep Cleanup"
- "Optimizations - EXPERT - WinSxS Folder Compression"
- "Optimizations - ISO - Compression Mode" (using "Recovery" compression)

If you are using one of those, you must do not use them until you finish your tests ... otherwise you will loose your time to wait.

But if you really need to use those components, just activate them only when your ISO will be ready for a production environment !

Perhaps Deep Cleanup.
WinSxS Folder Compression process not is slow.
Optimizations ISO Recovery never is completed. Crash system or not ISO created.

Now begin another test without 7zip installed on a system not modified. Previous test was in a winreducer system.

- "Deep Cleanup" is around 2x slower than without using  this component ! This is mentioned in the help tips.

- "ISO Recovery Mode" is also around 2x times slower  than without using  this component ! This is mentioned in the help tips.

But 7zip has nothing to do with your slowing down, even if you installed it in your system.

Tested 3 ISOs created.

Winreducer EX-100 using the same preset in :

Windows 10 64 Pro RS3 Winreducer EX-100 1.9.15.0 :
- Version 1.9.15.0 ISO is created in without problems.
- Since version 1.9.16.0 and using 1.9.21.0 more of 8 hours removing and when is started ISO creation process system crash or ISO not is created.

Windows 10 64 Pro RS3 not modified.
Using current 1.9.21.0 the ISO is created in 3:42 hours without problems even using Deed and Recovery.

Yes I understand, but had to test to figure the problem not creating ISO.

I had to test because has a 7-Zip bug if using large memory pages in Windows 10.

Trying to create a ISO in a Winreducer system has problems.
Another details are in current version when in MOUNT process is writed several files in system TEMP folder and a huge memory allocation when in ISO creation task.
When mounting first is created several files in system temp folder using more of 2 GB and after a install_temp.wim for finally create the MOUNT Folder. Process is more long time now than previous versions that not use the temp folder instead in MOUNT process begin creating the MOUNT folder not using system Temp folder for creating any files.
Exactly when begin the ISO Cretion task start a huge pagefile allocation of more of 3,5 GB. If is using that file space I not has information, but exactly when begin that allocation start the problems in create the ISO in a Windows 10 Winreducer system.

I has tested a installation with the created ISO and in last install screen user creation is breaked displaying NOT IS POSSIBLE CONNECT TO A NETWORK restarting not allowing finalize the installation.
Have a component or latest removing improvements breaking the installation.
I has free time to test create more ISO and figure what component is breaking the installation.
I return with the results.

Tested another ISOs and is exactly all posted above,
In a winreducer system if using recovery compression not is possible create ISO.
In a winreducer system is possible create ISO not using compression.
All work fine in a system not used winreducer, but huge pagefile will be created when creating ISO.
The bug not allowing instalation was figured and I as created a post.
In moment I trying to figure how disable stickykeys and filters keys if removing ease of access because even removing both features continue active in system not being possible disable totally using registry settings. Both are two features that create problems using keyboard.

Could you please try with a Windows 10 RS4 (v1803 - build 17134.137) ... because I'm not able to reproduce the bug with an RS4 ISO, using an my EX-100 "Extreme" preset (all components removed).

In other words, using a WinReduced RS4 ISO, the "Recovery" compression is working has intended (= without errors).
