hi,

after trial and error i discovered that removing powershell completely (i assume all win versions) will break Office 365 installation (portal app).

even with the protect preset it wont install and hangs. it will also throw a hlink.dll error if you remove "Internet Explorer - Office support). not sure if thats causing it though.

Hello,
this report is old, does this problem still happen?
If there is no new info, or no other gut this problem, i will close this bug report on the end of the week.

yes and its not just office. allot of installations/software/games sometimes depend in powershell commands, without it they dont install. but topic can be closed as its not a single issue. just make sure there is a warning note

Hi,

are those programs maybe all portable apps or apps from windows store? 

i also remove powershell and i use a lot of different programs and never got any problems

im just curious what software breaks.

uno just normal apps. you might be installing apps without them needing powershell. its just that very rarely there is an app that uses powershell commands to either install or update
