hi winter,

the component "Integrate - Windows Updates Files Cleanup" breaks the installation of my Win 10 x64 Pro German iso RS3

a clean RS3 does not have this problem but i integrated those updates yesterday:

KB4054022
KB4054517
KB4053577 (probably not)
kb4058043 (probably not)

to fix the net framework problem mentioned here:

an error pops up as if something is wrong with the unattanded file, but without an unattanded file i get a sumular error

Hello KrX,

I just tried to integrate all updates available with the EX-100 v1.9.8.1 [VIP Closed Build] and the December 2017 Updates Catalog [VIP members] ... I re-download them again, integrate them in a 1709 Pro x64 and I activated "Integrate - Windows Updates Files Cleanup".

It worked without troubles ... could you please try with only all integrated tools in EX-100, let me know please.

I may see 3 reasons about your trouble :
- a download error which results in a faulty cumulative update
- an update which is not possible to integrate before installation
- a wrong update version ... because for all cumulative update v1709 there are multiple versions (for Windows 10 Pro/Home, Windows 10 Server and Windows 10 ARM)

I don't know what exactly happened, but I see that you are integrating more updates than in the EX-100 Updates Catalog December 2017, maybe one(s) of them is not the correct one ?

Yes, because the integration, used by WinReducer, automatically install only the necessary and compatible updates for your Windows 10 Edition.

And if a compatible update has troubles during integration, it's automatically added in LOG file with the name of the faulty update Wink

OK,
but I never see such log when I put in a RS1 update dir a .msu related to RS3
definitely it was not integrated but no log message that it cannot be integrated
is it possible to have a log in this case?

what i did is i downloaded the 2 updates that were available in winreducer. after that i used Windows update on an not modified Image which i installed. i downloaded the 4 updates vie Windows update (they were installed correctly) and after i confirmed that net Framework was working i copied the updates from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download ( i think they were cab files) and put them to the RS3 Folder where the 2 updates were downloaded via winreducer.
after that i used winreduce to integrate those 6 updates. after that the Installation worked and also to enable net Framework worked fine. only using this component caused a problem

i will look at the log when im home.

Hello KrX Smile

I experienced troubles with KB4054022 during windows installation (impossible to finish installation with or without unattended file) ... and it seems that Microsoft removed it from Windows Updates.

And it seems there are also a lot of troubles, around the web, with KB4054517 (especially with live installation) but I did not experienced troubles with slipstream installation provided by WinReducer ... maybe this helps Smile

i tested it again with the same iso but only downloaded the 2 new updates from the new catalog and it worked, so the problem is probably caused by one of the other updates. but since the installation and also enabling net framework works, its solved for me
