[SOLVED] [EX-100 - v1.9.3.0] [RS3 Build 16299] Windows Defender not working

The following is something I have observed since reducing RS2 release already:
Having installed the reduced version of my Windows 10 distribution, Windows Defender was not running and it was not possible to restart it.
Also, most parts of version info of Windows Defender was not available ( see screen shots below ).








I was using the following *.wccf:

I was able to solve it though in running OS last time (RS2) as well as in RS3 now by doing the following:


Delete the following registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\DisableAntispyware


Run the following command :
"%programfiles%\windows defender\MpCmdRun.exe" -wdenable


Now, I am not completely sure if that is caused by WinReducer, but I can confirm that this does not appear in the not modified version downloaded in MS VLSC.
So either it must be caused by my *.wccf or by a bug.

I tried several times, using your wccf, with :
- enterprise ltsb 2016 1607 RS1 (14393) "de-de"
- enterprise 1709 RS3 (16299)
- pro 1709 RS3 (16299)
- EX-100 v1.9.3.0 (and future v1.9.4.0)

And it works as intended every times ... I'm not able to reproduce the bug, with the iso I have.

But could you please tell me the name of the iso ... and the sha1 value ... to check if I used the correct iso. Thanks.

That is strange then.

Last time (RS2), I used the following one:
6D0661033C85638B26C19710CC8C17B0E0021717 *de_windows_10_enterprise_version_1703_updated_march_2017_x64_dvd_10204222.iso

This time (RS3):
4503c9bdf6b31fb62160edc5759b1552fc8fd82e *de_windows_10_multi-edition_vl_version_1709_updated_sept_2017_x64_dvd_100090752.iso

I should add that I added language packs before reducing, but before I started reducing, I tested the Iso with language packs of course, and that issue did not appear.
Sorry forgot to mention that.
Also probably helpful information:
The problem appeared on virtual testing machines (hyper v) as well as on my surface book.
Tell me if you need further information, although I think it is not that important to solve, cause like I mentioned, it is pretty easy to solve.

I just tested the *.iso including language packs again to confirm it:
The problem does not appear, Windows Defender is working properly, all version numbers are shown in contrast to the reduced version.
Would it help you if I sent you this *.iso ( with added LPs ) to make it possible for you to reproduce the process?

This problem should be consider as solved, because :
- RS2 and RS3 are not anymore supported by MS
- I created several ISO with RS1, 19Hx, 20Hx or 21Hx and I didn't experience this trouble since a long time
- if someone experience this, could you please open a new topic with recent information.
