[SOLVED] [EX-100 - v1.9.0.0] [RS3 Build 16299]

Hello friends. I used the bellow wccf

to perform an in-place upgrade of my 15086.674 buid. During the install and arround 20-25% my laptop rebooted and said that installation has failed. I forgot to take a screenshot to post. It said i think about  0x80073701 error  ........replicate_os_function. After trial and error i found that removing windows firewall causes this. It happens in an untouched RS3 iso even if you only remove windows firewall.

thanks for that info. as always when microsoft releases a new iso windows firewall is causing problems ...

i also did 2 tests and cant even start my win10 x64 pro version (something in boot.wim is broken) so be carefull

Me neither... I did a lot of tests but I did not manage to install the new windows.

KrX if you want give me your wccf so that i can also search what is causing the problem. Also to deal with problems in boot.wim during an in-place-upgrade some time ago i did this: I extracted the untouched iso, used my wccf and this resulted an x.iso (which had boot.wim problem,i dont know why). In this iso i replaced boot.wim with the boot.wim from the untouched iso. Then everything worked perfect. I dont know if the above solution works for you.

- FIX : "Services - HyperV Services" : Error during Setup Installation (RS3 - v1709)
- FIX : "Services - Volume Shadow Copy Services" : Error during Windows installation (RS3 - v1709)
- FIX : "Services - Windows Push Notifications System Service" : Error during Windows First Login (RS3 - v1709)

The build should be available tomorrow

Thank you very much Winter. One question about HyperV Service. What problem did it cause; In the wccf i posted above i removed it without any problem.

I can confirm. There is bug with Hyper-V Service in 16299.15.home.single.language.x64.en.iso. When installation files copied and computer restart there is blue screen. I used latest WinReducer EX100. And one more think I found in new windows build. If we remove Modern UI Apps - Windows Mixed Reality - we cannot added e-mail account in settings.

For me with english x64 untouched iso removing HyperV services doesnt cause any problem.

there is also something at the features tab what gives me a "run into a problem " or something like that in english when wanting to boot from my iso. im on it :O

EDIT: seems to be my fault, i removed HyperV at features with the automatic preset

Hi, maybe new bug for defender, I removed defender but a defender services runs in services. I think defender and all defender's files removed but it's service is not removed.

Have you selected the two Windows Defender services in the "Services" tab ?
(Windows Defender Security Center Service and Windows Defender Security Center Service)

For now Hyper-V Service works fine. Many thanks!
