Winreducer EX-100 does not integrate updates, breaks Windows, etc.

It amazes me how bad this software is and not tested properly.  Options do not work as intended, no matter how you activate protect windows, important files, etc, I have had several attempts when installing the resulting ISO, where the installation failed with a "Why did windows restart" screen and looping. So much that I had to enable most of the components.  It does not have a proper gating feature to prevent you from removing critical components needed for windows.   Misinformation all around from posters here, as WIndows error reporting must never be disabled in services, or the windows install will error and not function properly.

Also what good is having windows updates integration when your feature does not work !!!  I did everything correctly, pointed to the correct folder - the updates do not get integrated !!!  When I install the windows it updates to the same KBs I integrated, so this means these were not integrated.  This feature is broken.   I have tried automatic catalog downloading and manual mode and yes I pointed to the correct folder, did everything as I should.


It says windows indexing in services and features in WInreducer, but I do not see this at all in WIndows 10 (I have 10 Pro) I do not see windows indexing at all in control panel or services, even though I did NOT disable or remove it in winreducer.

In order to help you, could you please provide more information :
1 - which Windows 10 version you are using (= your running system) to launch EX-100
2 - which Windows 10 version and edition you are trying to customize using EX-100
4 - Have you downloaded the correct Windows Updates for your Windows 10 ISO ? For example if you want to integrate them in Windows 10 v1703, so you need all RS3 updates.
3 - if you may provide your wccf, as Jpm asked you, that would be a great to help us find a way to solve your trouble

This software is great and team are always willing to help. If you have any problem, error or issue put in forum. 

Also another issue, the FRENCH azerty keyboard gets installed by default, I did not ask for that, I configured everything according and correctly I am not new to this, and even tried removing all the keyboards and language and keeping only the keyboard I want to use, which is English US, and yet the french azerty is installed and active by default.

to help winter can you precise the .iso version you are usinf and also  include the .wccf you are using

Well, here we go.  Sorry I been away from this forum for a bit but trust me I have been following all the progress and I hate to break this guy's heart but I have stayed busy helping to test this fine piece of software.  I don't know where he read that there some kind of iron clad guarantee that anything is going to work.  We all walked into this knowing what we were getting into and this software is still constantly being tested.  Not only do I take offense at this guy trying to tell any of us that we don't know what we're doing.  If he doesn't like the software then just say so and be done with it.  All the whining in the world isn't gonna fix anything.  Or at least that's been my experience.  Did you even read the changelog showing you all the problems that still do exist with WREX100?  And we have all been having issues with updates integrating but that's all documented as well.  And we also know that WinterStorm works to get these bugs corrected as soon as he can get around to it.   Sorry to go off but I'm just upset that so many people on here have worked so hard and put in so many hours dedicated to this project and this one person that has a reputation of ZERO is gonna run his mouth off.

Geekster   well said...i have been using this appz since it came out....and np problems at all....tat guy must not know how to use it...i had my troubles with it when i started but now the only thing i use for my customizing.....Hat off to the TEAM......and of course Winter

Check my post regarding the C:\Windows\Temp folder.  This was the root of all evil and by 'unhiding' and changing the 'permisisons' it has resolved all my issues, including those stated above.

Winterstorm is working hard for this software and for us.

To use this tool, you need to have a little brain and a little bit of experience.
Not recommended after each change you format (lol?), You need to use a virtual machine to test.

just post your .wccf and the initial .iso you are trying to reduce.
With mine  I run with 1709 french iso integrating drivers, update to .19 .net35 without any problem.
Something must be wrong in your environment
