WinReducer 8 - v0.55 (alpha) - 2013.07.05

REQUIREMENTS :
- Windows 8 (x32 or x64) or Server 2012 (x32 or x64)
- All languages supported
- A genuine Windows 8 (x32 or x64)  or Server 2012 (x32 or x64) ISO
- Works with Windows 8, Windows 8 Professional and Windows 8 Enterprise
- Works with Windows Server 2012 Standard (should work with Server 2012 Data Center)
- No external software are provided in the zip package, you need to download them but feel free to have a look on the "Read Me.pdf"

INSTRUCTIONS :
- Not working with Windows 7 or any previous version like Windows XP
- Not working if you're using spaces in the path folder
- Follow instructions on screen : Button "Open", Button "Mount", wait, choose components, button "Apply", wait, then Button "Save" in Wim or in an ISO
- More important instructions are in the "Read Me.pdf" file provided in the zip package

I'm working on a latest bug (in windows 8, if you want to install framework 3, using "Windows Features", it bugs) so as soon as I fix it, I will release this new build ...

And if there are no important bugs, I will update the status of this version to the beta stage ... ... So that means only bugs fixed [EDIT : or new components] will be added on WinReducer 8, new functions will be only added in the upcoming WinReducer 8.1 ...

Yes and no, because it seems that windows features is highly dependant from windows update .... you need to keep Windows Update Service to use Windows Features so I only add a tips for Windows Update.

And if you only disable Windows Update (without removing it), it will also not work !

=> In fact, you need to keep Windows Update without disable it  

In my system I'm removing windows features and Windows Update ... I think that if you don't want to keep windows update service, your best choice will be to integrate net framework with winreducer or use the command line after installation ...

No but there will be a WinReducer 8.1 for it !

and when, as now more tests 8.1

I will release a first test in few weeks ...

how i can integrate framework with winreducer? i don't understand how i can integrated framework 3.5 and other updates with winreducer

hi winter, install supercache5 failed with removed "Application Experience" service:

I belive that is not "bug" in WinReducer,Windows needs that service sometime,just dont remove it,disable it manually.

I've just tried with a new customized ISO made by winreducer v0.55 and it works great, so here is how I do :

******************************************************************************

* MANUAL INSTALLATION :

0) Make sure that you have a new customized ISO with WinReducer v0.55

1) Open "cmd.exe" as an administrator (right click on the bottom left of your screen)

2) Copy/paste this in your cmd window :

DISM /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /source:"%YOUR_SXS_PATH%" /LimitAccess

==> Just replace %YOUR_SXS_PATH% by your original ISO sxs folder (Keep quotes if you use space in the path name) ... You could find it in your Windows 8 Genuine ISO in "x:\sources\sxs" (where x is the letter of your cdrom)

* INTEGRATE NET FRAMEWORK USING WINREDUCER :

1) Launch WinReducer v0.55 (open, mount ...)

2) Go to "Customization - System" tab

3) In the "Integration" part (top of the GUI), and check it to choose your folder like in the this screenshots :

It´s important for me to know that my work is recognized

In version 0.55 removing Windows Media Player also removes wmvcore.dll,so i got error on installing audio drivers for my sound card,but i got sound,everything goes OK.
But i see that people have problems if that dll is missing [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] so you maybe need to somehow protect that dll from removing.

Removing Tablet PC,all checkboxes with Tablet PC cause error on installing Microsoft Office,you can install it but errors are about missing DLL-s :INKED.dll,INKDIV.dll and INKOBJ.dll.

nothing, i tried many many times, but the results are:

1) with version 0.75, i created iso, installed on virtualbox, but when i arrived to desktop, i see nothing, no icon, and if i right click on mouse on desktop and i click for exemple to change resolution, window open and had nothing write, clear window
2) with version 0.55, i haven't got these problems, but i have these problems:

a) if i create iso without updates integrated, net framework 3.5 will install without problem, but when i do windows updates, it will install many of theme, but with some it give me error when i reboot.
b) if i made a iso with integrated updates: in this case, when i try to install net framework 3.5, it give my error in ms dos window, error 0x800f081f, and there is no possibility to install it, also with the post that winter post above. this is the file dism.log that is created [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
