Hey,‎
I might have found a bug:
I reduced Windows 10 Enterprise, basically all MetroApps that cannot be downloaded in MS Store and a few tweaks ( see the uploaded file).
Although I like the system  reduced as much as possible, especially in terms of MetroApps, I like some of them especially while using touch devices.

Now, the bug that seems to appear is that after installing the bing maps app, it will not open properly, meaning that an empty window shows up and then closes soon.

I added the entries that are set on true only, if needed I can upload the whole file though.
If that issue is just caused by my settings, please let me know which one.

hi,

that is everything you removed with winreducer?

if yes i would recommend to test it again without removing any bing components:

[size=32]100 v1.7.5.0 01/04/2017 12:53:40 Remove - Modern UI Apps Bing Food and Drink true [/size]

[size=32]100 v1.7.5.0 01/04/2017 12:53:40 Remove - Modern UI Apps Bing Travel true [/size]

it could be one or all of those that cause it.

EDIT: or maybe:

Hmmm the thing is, thats how I reduced it in Redstone 1, and after downloading it in MS Store it worked perfectly.
Now, I do not know how far this is possible in rs2...
Probably the components are more connected to each other...

To close this topic, it does not seem to be a bug of WinReducer.
If Remove - Modern UI Apps Windows Maps is set on true, it is certainly removed as planned, but somehow it seems to turn it not reinstallable anymore unlike in my reduced version of Windows 10 Enterprise TH2.

Back that time, Remove - Modern UI Apps Windows Maps was set on true but could be installed from Microsoft Store if needed.

In RS2 though, the Application crashes somehow, Task Scheduler gives the following error:

Code:

Faulting application name: Maps.exe, version: 5.1703.1703.17002, time stamp: 0x58cbf813
Faulting module name: Windows.UI.Xaml.dll, version: 10.0.15063.0, time stamp: 0x72781892

I decided to keep the app installed, although I really hope that it will not continue like that with other preinstalled apps during the next updates, because I personally like to deploy a clean system that can be equipped with features, programs and tools fitting for the actual deviced installed on.

PS: Sorry for the annoying textsize in the first post, I used my mobile and somehow that really increased the size, which I noticed kind of shocked when looking into the thread on the computer later....

Hello,

I split a part of this component with a new one named "Modern UI Apps - Windows Maps (Engine)" ... this should solve this trouble.

So if you want to remove the integrated Windows Maps version just select "Modern UI Apps - Windows Maps" and keep "Modern UI Apps - Windows Maps (Engine)".

If you test this and let me know, that would be wonderful Smile

Sorry for being late, I was not at home, so I did neither have a computer with me nor a stable internet connection to connect to my servers.

Finally, I managed to reduce the Windows 10 Enterprise RS2 image like I did in the first post.
Of course I did keep the Maps Engine, and I can confirm that it works without any problem!

Great Work!
