[SOLVED] [EX-100 - v0.9.88.0] [RS1 Build 14393.693] 3 Internet Explorer Engine bugs

hi winter,

the component "Internet Explorer (Engine)" is causing 2 bugs.

1.) i.e. when i use Notepad++ and save Links there, normally a doule click opens firefox (or IE) but when IE Engine is removed that no longer works
2.) in firefox, when i download something, a click on the file is starting it and next to it there is a FOLDER icon to open the folder where the downloaded file is saved. When IE Engine is removed opening the folder does not work anymore
3.) ccleaner installation hangs after staring it and installer extracts the files, could also cause problems with other installations, and when it is removed together with another component i get an *memory* error- but only fixing this component should fix it totally

probably it also causes some more problems.

i will do some test later on, because there are a could more bugs left which i am trying to find

found a 3rd problem with installing ccleaner, which could also cause problems with other software

so since i repaired finally my notebook i can test again. it seems 1 +3 are solved, but problem 2 still exists.

i will test again if it is caused by IE Engine and if yes what files are causing it

so it seems no files are causing it. so im now searching the registry


EDIT2: yep it seems somthing in the registry is causing it

so i found the key that needs to be kept:

after adding those back, i can open the download folder again from firefox when i downloaded a file.
