Is it possible to preserve basic W10 LTSB search button functionality that works for searching system settings and installed programs without requiring indexing service? Based on Win8 i assume it could work without indexing. Winterstorm please study this sometimes if you can.

An other question at this place because I'm also using W10 LTSB 2016: I removed the Windows search completely (search and indexing) but the searchbox in the explorer (right from the pathbox) is still there (without function). Is it possible to remove that also?

Hello Hanyo,

The possibility to hide the search box in explorer (which was working in Windows 7) ... was removed by Microsoft in since windows 8.1 and also in windows 10 ... but I think this could be possible to hide it Wink

Have a nice day !

I'm sure it's possible because when I install ClassicShell I find a working option there to do this.
