[SOLVED] Win 10 14393.0 Pro WRX 0.9.1.0 ProblemsFri 5 Aug 2016 - 15:32

Hi! I want to remove all modern UI apps (except the needed like Cortona/Store/...).
Wich one are the needed modernUI apps?
But there are allways some apps left. arte not all things implemented in the version 0.9.1.0?

And can i integrate the update .cab (14393.10) with winreducer or must i use DISM?

hi,

from the changelog:

- UPDATE : "System - Integrate Updates" : Add RS1 (build 14393) cumulative updates integration support

so i think you can integrate 14393.10

----

about the modern ui apps, you can leave all apps you want to keep.

so at REMOVE under Modern UI apps it would be cortana, and under SERVICE it would be Windows Store Service

you could also switch the following presets to ON

Protect ModernUI Apps
Protect Windows Search

The updated WinReducer Updates Catalog, with 14393.10 update, will be available in few hours.

Unfortunately EX-100 v0.9.1.0 has a bug if you want to integrate "14393.10 update" ... it will be solved in v0.9.2.0 which will be also available in few hours, with some other changes.

Not really a problem but I need to understand if the file stored Under Framework35 is still OK for "Anniversary Version".
The catalog (winreducer) does not propose to download it. They are still OK for installing the .NET 2.0 to 3.5

Another question is does the .NET 4.6.2 files are needed for the "Anniversary version"?

1) About Net Framework 3.5, here is how it works :
- EX-100 automatically copy the available installation file from your ISO, each time you are trying to mount it (if this is available in the ISO)
- In case, the file is not available in the ISO, EX-100 uses the one available in the "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\Framework35\x86" or "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\Framework35\x64"folders. If there are no files available in the folders, the Net Framework 3.5 features enabling option is disabled in EX-100.

Now, this is what I found about this subject after some tests :
- the SHA-1 Net Framework 3.5 cab file values are differents from TH2 and RS1, that seems normal Wink

- Integration of Net Framework 3.5 cab file from TH2 ISO in a RS1 ISO is working
- Installation of this RS1 ISO (Net Framework 3.5 cab file from TH2 ISO integrated) is working, and this Features is correctly activated after installation
- In the other hand, I do not how it will work with the next cumulative update (working or buggy)

2) About .NET 4.6.2 files with "Anniversary version" :
- No this is not required because "Anniversary version" ISO already have .NET 4.6.2 integrated
- EX-100 auto-detects if this .NET version is not necessary, so it will automatically skip it

Yep it was, thanks for pointing out. I updated to aug 5-th(v0.9.2.0) release and i try avoid issues that is marked down to changelog.

Launching another series of tests now to get similar lite like current Win 8.1 v6 i have...

Is it possible that someday IIS can be removed without breaking?

Thanks my last wondering about Framework 3.5 is when NET35 is used?

I just have znother interrogation about mounting speed.
I use WinReducerESWimConverter 1.5.0.0 to have an .iso with .Wim.
If I use the compression maximum the mount time increase very much
is it a normal consequence of the maximum compression or a bug?

1) There are not any more "NET35" for EX-100, all updates are included in the monthly cumulative updates. In other words :
- "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\Framework35\x86" or "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\Framework35\x64" folders = store all files necessary for activating 'Features - Net Framework 3.5" [All EX-Series software]
- "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\x86\NET35" or "...\EX-100\Integrate\Updates\x64\NET35" folders = store to install all monthly NET35 updates [ONLY FOR EX-70, EX-80 and EX-81]

2) If you use in WIM Converter, the "Use Better Wim Compression" option, yes that increases the necessary mounting time.

Hello,

The v0.9.3.0 has been released, so if you select all Modern UI Apps (in the "Remover" tab list), you will completely get rid of all of these apps. Only if you do not select a protect preset like "Protect MS Account" or "Protect Modern UI Apps".

Hello,

The v0.9.3.0 has been released, so if you select all Modern UI Apps (in the "Remover" tab list), you will completely get rid of all of these apps. Only if you do not select a protect preset like "Protect MS Account" or "Protect Modern UI Apps".

Good evening,
About half a year ago, i successfully modified ( means removing unneeded components ) Windows 10 Th2.
Now using WinReducer Ex100 9.0.1.0, the configuration was very similar, but causing the problem that the store was not working ( the store was not removed or anything ).
I looked into the changelog, where a broken store problem was mentioned.

Can anyone confirm/deny that this problem is a bug?
If it is a bug, are there plans to remove it ?

Have you tried to check the "Presets - Protect Modern UI Apps" ?
Because Windows Store requires some additional components to correctly work.

There are many difference between TH2 and RS1 ... this is why I'm working hard at the moment to solve as many bugs as possible, or add missing components, and also because MS released what is for me the real RTM build of Windows 10 ... the RS1 (1607 - 14393) ISO !

No, i have not, i will give it a try, i actually thought that would take the option to remove apps, which is one of the main reasons for me to use win reducer.

In Fact when I look at my Framework36 I found out that it is used before the .iso one
