hi, i saw some more problems,

1. even keeping Edge, when i start it it closes itself after 1 second.

maybe because i removed? :

thats not the reason !
i will do some tests to see  why this happens

three components which cause it and solutions:

2. there are some icons on start menu, they open all the Windows Store. at first they are blanc but sometimes they show some things like Adobe Photoshop Express etc.


3. App: Twitter, calendar (hopefully it does not remove the calendar when clicking on clock at taskbar) exists, it would be nice to remove it.


4. some apps i selected to remove them are still present:


- Feedback Hub: its "Windows Feedback" in winreducer ? or is it a new app ?

- Camera: is not removed even i checked "Camera" under UI Apps

- An app called "Verbinden" in german, i would translate it as "Connect" so it may be "App Connector" in winreducer? i checked it to remove. if its not this app, when i start it it says my device does not support miracast
- Mail :     <Element Category="Remove - Accessories" Name="Windows Mail" Selected="true" /> but i couldnt find Mail under UI Apps.

EDIT: even i checked them to remove at winreducer they exist and when i click on them they work


5. i checked every menu in the Settings App and i get an error when clicking in the Settings on Device i get this error (its the only menu with an error), i get this error also on an old build (TH2 i think):

6. removing sticky notes -> there is an shortcut left at startmenu, clicking it and nothing happens

7. removing power shell -> power shell folder and shortcuts left at startmenu, clicking on it a message appears if i want to remove the broken shortcut

8. startmenu - accesorie -> somthing called "quick assist" -> clicking on it i get an error about read memory, i dont know what this quick assist should do

9. startmenu .> windows system -> shotcut Windows Defender left

10. startmenu - accesorie ->Internet Explorer shortcut left

Thank you KrX for all of this, I will see for the next build.

And by the way, I read on a french website that MS has delayed the fast ring ISO build, this week, because of a major bug discovery in the Windows 10 Desktop & Mobile. This information should be available in the MS fast ring news.

like i said the problem no 5 where i get the error when clicking on Devices at Settings is caused by the Printer Service


and i also found what causes problem No 1, where Edge is closing itseld. it is caused be the feature:

Problem No 2 is not really a problem, those "apps" can be removed with

Recommended Apps (Start Menu Shortcuts)

Problem 1 where Edge is closing, there is probably 1 more component causing it. Maybe features -> internet explorer. normally removing IE should not harm Edge, because its "not" really IE

Funny, I never got these errors. I have removed "Printer support service" and all other services and drivers related to printers, but never got error #5. Maybe it only happens to German language ISOs? Or at least, doesn't happen to English ISOs? I've used both Win 10 pro x64 and Win 10 core x86.

yes it could be related to the german iso because i removed US language, or it could be a bug that happens since the 14332 build.

i didnt test further to get the files/registry entries that cause those problems, but i will do that in the next days

i found some more things:

do you mean you used some i.e. backgrounds with winreducer and they arent shown?

i never used that feature.

did it work with a previous version of winreducer ?

do you know if it happens with an reduced iso or does it also happen with an untouched one?

just to make sure if it is a winreducer bug or an bug caused by removing a component

hmm ok, its odd since the changelog doesnt show any changes in that part since 7.1

i think it would be good if you would create a new thread with this bug

so all points seem to be solved, exept Number 5, but with the newest windows10 the error does not show up, but the settings window is closing itself.

to solve that problem the 3 files i mentioned before are needed

Number 5 will be solved in Beta 3 Wink ... but I found a quite long list of Settings links trouble ... I will solve them in Beta 4 Smile
