[ANSWERED] Font Removal and Consequent Classic Theme Bug

I've removed "all" fonts and the following happened:


1) I prefer "Classic Theme" for Windows 7 for performance related reasons. In windows explorer however the "Minimize-Maximize-Close" buttons appeared like "0-1-r" instead of normal icons (x/./-). After several trial and error runs on virtual machine, I've discovered that this related to font removal (not theme removal, I've tested this)

2) This does not happen in Aeoro Theme, everything is normal. 

3) Appreciate your suggestions on the fonts I've to keep. I've searched the forum and found suggestions on Windows 8, which are "calibri - courier new - kalinga - marlett - webdings - wingdings" as well as "consolas - marlett - meiryo - Ms Gothic" in the  "Extreme Preset" for WinreducerEX70. I'm not sure about the ones applicable to my case.

My friend, the above fonts are mentioned in other sections of the forum, not Windows 7. And I have not encountered anything mentioning the classic theme under Windows 7. This is the reason why I'm asking
PS: I've not tried by only keeping the fonts I've mentioned above. I've kept all fonts (which I don't wanna do) and everything worked OK.

i think that such a problem was discussed before, and i think winter was able to mention which fonts exactly were needed.


im not really sure if it was because of the classic theme but the problem with such "0-1-r" and other things were mentioned in that old thread

Thanx bro, I kept the fonts I've written and it worked this  time (luckily, they included the ones winter mentioned in your link). I'll see it whether office 2010 will produce any headaches.

if you want to use office, check the according preset to on. it will protect the needed fonts and components
