REQUIREMENTS :
- Windows 8 (x32 or x64) or Server 2012 (x32 or x64)
- All languages supported
- A genuine Windows 8 (x32 or x64) or Server 2012 (x32 or x64) ISO
- Works with Windows 8, Windows 8 Professional and Windows 8 Enterprise
- Works with Windows Server 2012 Standard (should work with Server 2012 Data Center)
- No external software is provided in the zip package, you need to download them but feel free to have a look on the "Read Me.pdf"

INSTRUCTIONS :
- Not working with Windows 7 or any previous version like Windows XP
- Not working if you're using spaces in the path folder
- Follow instructions on screen : Button "Open", Button "Mount", wait, choose components, button "Apply", wait, then Button "Save" in Wim or in an ISO
- More important instructions are in the "Read Me.pdf" file provided in the zip package

is it only Immersive Control Panel or all metro apps
when i tried to remove tabletpc by 7customizer or vlite it breaks all metro apps not only Immersive Control Panel

Nice work, 1.54gb iso, and 3.1gb install size, with 300mb of ram usage on Windows 8 N x64. Now to test for stability...

Wow you guys are good. With updates integrated and 218 components removed I got a 2.74GB iso Laughing

Lowest score in this league. I left a lot of drivers, did not remove any font but it's mainly because of the 96 updates (1GB)

Thanks for this new version Winter. I did my tests with 0.41 and nothing to declare. It's hard to give a proper feedback as it's working smoothly all the time.

I do not know if it breaks Metro Apps but I've identified the bug with Immersive Control Panel and I will fix it in the next v0.43 ... Wink

Hi winter.
Reduced my sysprep image from almost 6.95GB to 4.86GB with v0.42 Smile

Thats with all my main apps and drivers, etc installed.

I'm in trouble.

All components remains untouched!

Using the Advanced or Extreme preset doesn't change nothing.

Marked a bunch of things but the resulting ISO is always like the oringinal.

Reshacker: 3.6.0.92
7z: 9.20
ImageX: 6.2.9200.16384
oscdimg: 2.56.0.1010
SetACL: 3.0.6.0

Tryed the original ISO from MSDN and the All-in-One version. Same thing.

Someone can help me?

some problem here,,i try to reinstall windows and try again winreducer v.42 but my win8 size not reducer and component i select not remove by winreducer,,until now iam still using winreducer v.39.9.99.0 this version work very fine for me.

The MD5 are the same.

Did you extract your ISO using WinReducer ?

No. Using WinRAR... yeah I know ...

If so you need the latest 7zip version 9.30 from here "LINK".

Updated to 9.30.

@fernando : try to delete your "APPS" folder and recreate it by extracting it from v0.42. Then, mount your ISO and search if it's mounted correctly in your "Mount Folder". Let me know my friend ...

Well.. I don`t quite understand what you mean by "recreate it by extracting it from v0.42".

So what I have done: Re-downloaded v0.42, extracted with 7z, copied Resource_Hacker x32 and x64 to APPS folder in the extracted folder.

Then, Open Winreducer, check if all items are green, check "Extract an ISO", click "Open" and select ISO, wait, uncheck "Extract and ISO", "'Open", browsed for ISO/EXTRACT folder, Selected Windows 8 Pro, Load Advanced Preset, LAUNCH!.

"Preparing components removing ... please wait"
"Removing Action Center"

<Save in WIM file only / Save in WIM file and create a new ISO SCREEN>
Done !! ???? what ??? Took 3 minutes!
The resulting iso is 2,00 GB (2.148.505.600 bytes)

EDIT: There is a big TEMP_Boot folder.

Problem with this version, doing exactly as with .41, no changes to the final.

and when i check in winreducer folder,,TEMP_Boot folder created with size so big (952mb)

v0.43 is out but have the same behavior.

@winterstorm2050:
1) There is any known dependency for WinReducer (VC, .net framework, whatever..) ?
2) For future releases, can you implement logging?
3) The TeamViewer invite is still up.
