hey,

when i remove only some services the installation fails.

but (i think but not tested yet) if i use the winsxs cleanup it works.

till now i dont know what service/services are causing it. for now i know that one or more are from letter B... till letter F....

so the problem is caused by

"BitLocker Drive Encryption Service" (REMOVE not disable)

it happenens with a clean untoched iso and only removing this service

i will do some more tests

EDIT:

when removing Bitlocker service it fails but when using the WinSxs cleanup (install.wim) after that the installation does not fail

hey winter,

to solve this error the file is needed (if the winsxs cleanup is not used)

Windows\fveupdate.exe

but after using the winsxs cleanup it can be removed without causeing an error during the installation

while looking at the files that are removed by winreducer i found some more that are left:

so the fveupdate.exe should only be removed if bitlocker service is removed AND the winsxs cleanup is selected
