Disable Default Browser Check

1. You'll probably want to search on "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main" and see if there is a "Check_Associations" value already defined with a value of "yes" instead of "no". If it's not listed, add it to the bottom of that section…and make certain to leave a blank space between the bottom of that section and the top of the next section.

Disable IE Crash Detection
2.

  1. From the Start menu, click Run.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type: Regedit. Click OK.

  3. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions

  4. If the above registry location does not exist, create new registry keys with the names above. For example, if you navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft but there is no Internet Explorer key, click the Microsoft key, and then from the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key. Name the key Internet Explorer. Next, click the Internet Explorer key, and then from the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key. Name the key Restrictions.

  5. Once navigated to the Restrictions key, create a NoCrashDetection DWORD value. To do this, click the Restrictions key, and then from the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value. Name the DWORD NoCrashDetection.

  6. Double-click the NoCrashDetection DWORD value.

  7. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, change the Value data to 1, and then click OK.

Disable Internet Explorer to Check for Updates
3.

  • Path: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\]
  • Location: Current User
  • Value Name: NoUpdateCheck
  • Data Type: DWORD (DWORD Value)
  • Enabled Value: 1
  • Disabled Value: 0

Hey Jpm,

Sorry for the late answer ... Yes "HKCU" is supported ... please read the WinReducer Help Tips for the Registry Integrator tool ... but I assume you have found your information while translating into French language ... Wink
