[ANSWERED] Page file error

Used wim converter fine for a day but now getting "The Windows Paging File is disabled, which could badly affect esd conversion" and "No Windows Edition detected" when loading folder with converted WIM which want to convert back to ESD.

I checked paging file and rebooted a few times - system managed on C windows partition and D where have placed wimconverter program and another system managed file on separate partition (all same drive) - I had not changed anything in paging setup either before this error.  Also setting max and min page settings did not work either -allowing about 4gb for page file on D drive.

I have 8GB ram W8.1Pro system.

How to fix this?

your installed os is installed on C drive? and the pagefile is activated for C:\ ?


if yes, it could be a bug at wim converter.

Try to delete your Wim Converter installation folder ... and recreate a new one ... could you please tell me if it will work ! Thanks.

Hi yes that may have worked but I just got on following day and it was fine (no pagefile message) although I did notice my smart defrag doing a mft and pagefile defrag before boot -maybe that helped the pagefile although I don't think was corrupted as did no page file then readded it as well and still was issue day before.  Just weird error maybe.
