Hi, first of all I want to say WinReducer is an awesome tool and many thanks to Winterstorm for creating it!!
As well for Torrentus, KrX and Parapher for their input.

Second I have a question to see what's the best and quickest way to get the job done with WinReducer 7.0.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 (nl_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677325)
I would like to make a WIN7 version as little as possible including latest Windows updates and the ability to use the future Windows Updates and HomeGroup function.

As mentioned by Torrentus in this post: https://forum.winreducer.net/t477p500-winreducer-7-0-final-builds#5805
it's recommended to slim Window 7 first with WinReducer, second integrate the Windows updates afterwards with WinToolkit and thirth clean the WinSXS folder again with WinReducer WinSXS expert cleanup.
When integrating the 507 updates by doing this with WinToolkit it aborts at KB2708857 and KB2710832 (An error occurred applying the Unattend.xml file from the .msu package.)
So this way won't work for me.

By integrating the updates in WinReducer and trimming it at the same time it went fine but it took a whole lot of time (nearly 7-8 hours).
The created ISO was about 2,09 Gb which is disappointing due to the fact slimming results in this post: https://forum.winreducer.net/t883-winreducer-results#8102 are much smaller.
So I'm not satisfied with the result so far.

My wccf file (without the update package) is posted in the following link

http://www54.zippyshare.com/v/29119674/file.html

If anyone could help me with the best and quickest way to create a small and fast Windows 7 it would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

This is how you should probably do to avoid common installation troubles :

1) Integrate all your updates (507 updates ? huge number) with wintoolkit (if it is faster to integrate than WinReducer)
Read this thread about troubling updates : https://forum.winreducer.net/t875-installing-updates-windows-7

2) Reduce your Updated ISO with WinReducer (try speed profile during removing to improve removing speed, depending on your computer capabilities)

3) The only chance you have to greatly reduce your ISO is by using "Optimizations - EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup (install.wim)" components, but you will loose Windows Updates functionnalities. Because your huge list of updates will grow up by much the size of the winsxs, so this is not a problem with WinReducer ... Wink ... a future improvement in WinReducer Smile

Happy Holidays my friend !

Thanks for replying Winterstorm,

I've read the thread you mentioned but the breakers of the KB2708857 and KB2710832 updates aren't listed.
WinToolkit won't work for me as far it seems by now.

You might have a point about the 507 updates.
The updates where noticed by WHDownloader so I selected them all but not all are possibly needed.
I'll try to figure out first which updates are really necessary.

Then I'll try to integrate them by using DISM to see what happens.

And over a few hours: Happy New Year my friend, keep up the good work!
