[SOLVED] trouble with first install of new WinReducer EX-81

Some short points to new WinReducer EX-81 - v1.0.0.0

After activation I pressed the download button and get the message, that an error happens.
I think, because all software buttons were shown as OFF ( 7zip, ImageX, oscdimg, ResHacker, SetACL ).
So I closed the windows and opened it again. All software buttons were shown as ON ( without my help ).
Next thing happened was, that only 7zip, ResHacker and SetACL can be downloaded.
I tryed a few times, but I was not able to get the download working.
There was no new entry in WinReducerEX81.log, so I downloaded the files manualy.
Because I don't know, which files are really needed in this new version, ( because the tool GetWaikTools.zip loads a lot of files ),
I took imagex.exe, imagingprovider.dll and oscdimg.exe.
Seems to work so far.
Then I noticed, that none of my .wccf files could be loaded.
So I had to choose the options manualy whit a wccf file opened in text editor.

To my mind, after all this trouble, Winreducer worked again for me, but I never had so much problems using it.
I hope in next versions there will be a lot less trouble.

1) Have you read the new tutorial installation procedure ? (The same for all WinReducer Software)

2) You could use the "?" button, below the "Software Installation" button, to see the new tutorial installation procedure.

3) For the moment, the third-party software are the same like in the previous version ... but this will change really soon, for a better support and new functionalities.

4) I've tried the installation procedure, and it worked. But you need to activate (put them on on) manually all software and themes, to indicate to WinReducer what do you want to download.

5) You are right for the wccf files, and the reason is the migration to the new software in which some older functionalities are not supported anymore, in order to avoid future troubles. I've totally missed to inform all users, but thank you for the reminder and the feedback ... I will add a comment in all download pages.

for the wccf load problem:

just change line 4 at your wccf file. i.e. for winreducer 7

before wrote:

<WinReducer>7.0</WinReducer>

after wrote:

  <WinReducerEX>70</WinReducerEX>

after loading your file at winreducer make sure everything looks OK. when yes i would suggest to save it again with this new winreducer version !

There is definitely a problem with the software installation, that never appears in versions before EX-81 v1.0.0.0.
Since yesterday I made five tests with a new, not activated version, but the result is still the same.
Here my steps:

- extract winreducerex81.zip to C:\
- start WinReducerEX81.exe
- activate your winreducer edition -> yes
- choose lifetime vip edition, username and serial
- message: winreducer is successfully activated
- choose software installation
- turned ON 7zip, ImageX, oscdimg, ResHacker, SetACL
- checked forced download of all elements ( or uncheck - is still the same )
- all software seems to be installed but then the bar reaches the end on the right corner...
- message: an error have been detected during processing your request, some files are still missing
- 7zip, ResHacker, SetACL seems to be installed, but ImageX and oscdimg returned to OFF

I find out, that the problem must be the background startup of
c:\WinReducerEX81\HOME\SOFTWARE\Sources\getwaiktools\GetWaikTools.exe

WinReducer can download the GetWaikTools.exe, but then nothing happend.
When I close WinReducer and WInReducer is really not running anymore, there are still several handles running of GetWaikTools.exe. You can see them when using process explorer, use the find function and search for waik.

As far as I can tell, the startup of this tool is the problem.

Problem solved in closed beta WinReducerEX81 v1.1.0.1
