i have used previous version of WinReducer 8.1,
some context menus are missing. 
what wrong thing i have done?
here is the screenshot:

if you remove i.e.

Remove - Accessories - Briefcase

the according entries will be removed.


what exactly are you missing ?

hmm i dont know why this happens.

but you could use this reg tweak to get it back

i am bored with customizing Win8.1, it always create problems for me.
now i am going to customize Win7.
on the last tab of optimizaton, i unchecked .NET, but i am troubled with .NET on Win8.1.
if this problem is only with me, ignore it.
if it is general, there should be a button for keep .NET untouched, e.g there is a option for MS Office protection.

(for readers: i am not blaming WinReducer, it is very nice utility.
the problem is with me.)

i seen this nice tutorial already,
he said "- do NOT select "Use EXPERT Optimizations""
i always use this, without this ISO size will reduce?
i did this:

while i select "protect important files", but important option, like create new folder and some are missing.

Hi greenworld.
Have a look in the Tweaks section of the REMOVER tab or ACCESSORIES tab.
Anything related to "Context menu" should be deselected.

Regarding the .NET issues, can you also try to deselect EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup (boot.wim & install.wim).
Also have a look at the services section (try the BlackViper config).

i think Briefcase is causing the problems for context menu, i'll deselect it.
if i deselect "EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup (boot.wim & install.wim)" the ISO size will not reduce or what?

It will be reduced depending on which components you have selected ... but it will not be reduced like previously.

In fact, this will help you find what it causing your bug, and in the same time, you will help me to simply fix your possible bug.

The WinSXS directory wont be cleaned, which means that, usually, the installed system will be a few gigabytes gigabytes bigger.
However, if you perform the EXPERT - WinSXS Folder Cleanup, you will not be able to use Windows Update!!
